Product Overview
The instrument adopts potassium permanganate oxidation spectrophotometry. Under acidic conditions, potassium permanganate oxidizes reducing substances in water, and the remaining potassium permanganate has characteristic absorbance at a certain wavelength. The absorbance is measured to calculate the remaining amount, and the oxygen consumption is converted according to the reaction equation to obtain the permanganate index. The instrument is suitable for online monitoring of various enterprise wastewater discharge outlets, surface water, rivers and lakes, etc.
